Kathie went in today to have her basal skin cancer spot removed. Her appointment was very early and seemed to have went well until the doctor's office called after she got home to tell her they hadn't gotten it all and she needed to come back in. Carole, her sister, took her back and waited with her. Kathie hoped to get back in while the anesthetic was working, but of course that did not happen, so when she went in, they had to administer it via a shot again. She had to have the five stitches they put in taken out and they cut out a little more. The second procedure was much more painful and Kathie did not leave very happy. The doctor's office is supposed to call back later today to confirm whether they had actually removed it all this time. The rest of the day is probably going to be fairly low key with some napping. Needless to say, no one is very happy about how today went.
